Canes Learning Center
Welcome to the Canes Learning Center at Cartersville High School
The Canes Learning Center (CLC@CHS) is a purpose-driven program that recognizes the path to success and graduation for all students requires flexibility, customization, and innovation. Students have the ability to participate in a variety of learning modalities while receiving ongoing support that enables them to achieve their goals. The opportunities available for students are a blend of virtual and on-site in-person learning. Below are the multiple options for all students.
Options Available at CLC
RESET: A path for our 6th - 12th grade students placed on a long-term suspension that require a highly structured environment for learning that enables them to get their learning, behavior, and executive function skills back on track.
FLEX: A path for our 9th - 12th grade students that require more individualized attention to their academic and social-emotional needs. 100% on-site with both online and in-person instruction.
CVA: A path for our 6th - 12th grade students that desire one or all of their courses to be delivered through online virtual instruction.
DUAL: A path for our 9th -12th grade students to access and complete on-site college-level courses that will provide them with the academic and workforce skills they need to succeed.
Hello CHS Families,
It is a privilege to serve as the Coordinator of the Canes Learning Center. At the CLC, we take great pride in offering multiple pathways to graduation, ensuring we support the diverse needs of our students.
My wife, Karla, and I are proud parents of three wonderful children—Kennedy, Kallaway, and Kamden—all of whom attend Cartersville City Schools. Our daughters play softball, so when we're not at school or working, you’ll likely find us at the softball fields cheering them on.
Thank you for your continued support!
