PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) provides students and educators with the chance to check in on progress toward college and career readiness and success.

Important PSAT/NMSQT Information

The PSAT/NMSQT will give students access to free personalized SAT study. With students’ permission, Khan Academy will use their PSAT/NMSQT results to create a study plan especially for them.

The PSAT/NMSQT is the official route of entry to the National Merit® Scholarship Program. Students must be a junior (11th grade student) to be considered eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Test score reports are typically available mid-December. Visit the College Board’s PSAT website for a detailed explanation of how to interpret PSAT/NMSQT results.
